 | Poetry: Down on the Farm |
Down on the Farm
There is a peaceful solitude
When you step out from the race
The cars have gone
The air is fresh
and Life takes pride of place
I feel it in my aching bones
as I push open the old gate
the joy returns
the stress release
the frown lines leave the face
Now building up
A life shot down
is not an easy task
The city has a life of its own
but it hides behind the mask
Insecurity
Lifes Debt and more
drop shoulders rather quick
Down on the farm
It does not take long
to strengthen up the slip
So here I look
At paradise
its there in all its charm
there is no place
like living it up
down on the farm
The strength returns
the friendship sweet
the tear of joy arrives
I'm back again
myself again
down on the farm
